Je pense qu’il est important de bien choisir son premier livre de l’année travaillé avec les élèves, cela donne une dynamique et permet de voir le côté attrayant de la littérature de jeunesse si le livre plait bien aux enfants (j’espère donc qu »il leur plaira ^^)
Voici donc celui choisi pour ma classe de CM1-CM2 :
J’ai choisi Le puits du taureau de Maurice Pommier pour la première lecture suivie de l’année pour plusieurs raisons :
– il y a une série de ces livres dans mon école
– le livre ne fait que 88 pages, c’est écrit assez gros et il contient quelques illustrations : donc idéal pour un début d’année en CM1-CM2.
– le livre me permettra d’aborder la Préhistoire en Histoire et de réaliser une fresque en Enseignements artistiques.
Quelques principes que je respecte désormais lors de mes séances de littérature :
Au fil des années en cycle 3, j’ai pu observer que les phases écrites en lecture étaient souvent une « perte de temps » et ne permettaient pas forcément de bien évaluer la compréhension des textes littéraires : je privilégie donc l’oral (reformulation, anticipation, questionnement…), la lecture à haute voix (après préparation) qui permet de bien voir si l’élève a compris (ce qu’il lit) ! et enfin un questionnaire final de 5 questions, souvent inspiré du site rallye-lecture.fr
- Les élèves émettent une ou plusieurs hypothèses à partir de l’observation de la 1ère de couverture et celles émises sont à vérifier au fil de l’histoire.
- L’enseignant doit expliquer le lexique aux élèves au fur et à mesure s’ils rencontrent des difficultés de compréhension (mais parfois le contexte permet de comprendre) pour faciliter la lecture des élèves
- Donner aux élèves tous les chapitres à relire à la maison.
- Ne pas « inonder » les élèves de questionnaires écrits mais privilégier l’oral et je travaille donc la littérature en demi-classe pour pouvoir interroger et échanger avec l’intégralité du groupe (12 ou 13 élèves)
- Demander aux élèves leur avis sur le livre en justifiant leur réponse.
